Temple Isaiah

SAGE

SAGE (Senior Adult Group Extraordinaire) is an organization for Temple members age 50 and over who are interested in educational, cultural, and social issues that enhance the lifestyle and health of senior adults. The SAGE programs vary in format and content; social hours with refreshments are lively opportunities to greet old friends and meet new members of the Temple community.

SAGE members are an integral part of the Temple community. We represent the senior members of the Congregation and also focus on giving back to the Temple and the community through volunteer programs.

Membership in SAGE is open to all Temple members age 50 and over. There are no membership dues and no fees for the programs that are held at the Temple. All Temple members and their guests are welcome at any SAGE program. We currently offer seven programs during the year on the first Wednesday evening of October, November, December, February, March, April, and May. Many of our presenters are from the Temple community.

The first SAGE program of 5770 (2009-2010) will be on October 14.  It will feature the Lexington Symphony Chamber Players performing music for winds and strings with special emphasis on Mozart and 20th Century composers.

Other programs this year will deal with a variety of issues of interest to all: health issues, Russian Jews, the Supreme Court, Golf Poetry, etc.  For more information on SAGE programs, or to suggest a SAGE program idea, please email nanrichwin@gmail.com.

For further information contact the chairperson of the SAGE Committee.
