Brotherhood Breakfasts

One of the most visible of Brotherhood's programs is the Sunday morning Breakfast series. On one Sunday morning a month, Brotherhood sponsors a bagel and lox breakfast event, starting at 9:15 (please note new start time for 2011/2012!)  and running until around 10:45. We bring in a featured speaker, usually an Isaiah member who is a well known expert on a subject of interest, or someone from outside the Temple who can speak on a Jewish related topic.

Each year we sponsor 8 Breakfast events. Admission to the breakfasts is free to paid up Brotherhood members, and $10 to all others. We have had some great speakers over the years, and this year's programs are shaping up to be as good as any. Here's our Breakfast calendar for the year, and the speakers we have scheduled so far:

October 16, 2011 Allen Sinai on the state of the economy
November 6, 2011 Dr Paul Hattis: "Healthcare in Massachusetts: Will High Costs Sabotage Reform?"
December 11, 2011 Joshua Horwitz: "Guns, Democracy and the Insurrectionist Idea"
January 22, 2012 Geva Barash: "The History and Evolution of the Israeli Military"
February 5, 2012 Representative Jay Kaufman: "A House Divided"
March 4, 2012 Joshua Jacobson: Jewish Music and All That Jazz
April 29, 2012 David Gumfert: "Inge: A Girl's Journey Through Nazi Europe"
