Kehillah Funds

KEHILLAH Funds support the Isaiah community, the Jewish community and the broader world community. Funds include:

  • Kehillah Fund: A general fund that supports community initiatives and programs, both within and outside the Temple
  • Social action and community funds
    • Social Action Fund: Supports those in need in our community and throughout the world.
    • Gerhanoff Outreach and Interfaith Fund: Provides funding for outreach and interfaith activities including community dialogue with other denominations and support to Jews-by-choice, those considering conversion, interfaith families and unaffiliated Jews.
    • Mazon: The Jewish response to Hunger. Contributions are passed on to the national organization.
  • Temple programming funds
    • Yom Shabbat Fund: Provides funding for our monthly Yom Shabbat programs, which offer meaningful adult and family education opportunities.
    • SAGE Fund: Provides money to support special programming for Temple members age 50 and older.
    • Culture and Performing Arts Fund: Provides for cultural events of Jewish content for the Temple community. Key events include classical music concerts and erev Shabbat musical enrichment
    • Marshall Derby Children’s Event Fund: Provides funding for an annual concert or event.
  • Israel and Travel to Israel Funds
    • L’Dor Va Dor Student in Israel Fund: Annual distributions from this endowment fund provide a stable source of funding for congregants participating in student travel and study programs in Israel.
    • Monica Weinstein Student in Israel Fund: Provides financial assistance for students in the congregation who are participating in Israel study and travel programs.
    • Israel Bond Fund: Acquires Israeli bonds, with principal on maturity going to the general operating fund.
    • Israel Action Fund
    • Travel to Israel Fund: Provides assistance to adults and families visiting Israel.
  • Youth and Youth Programming Funds
    • Arnold Heller Youth Fund: Supports informal youth education
    • L’Dor Va Dor LEFTY Fund: Annual distributions from this endowment fund support the temple’s youth group.
